What was the official list price for an 8C? Wasn't it nearer £125K-£140k?

I'm pretty sure it was less than £189k! I hope the speculators gets their fingers burnt. A better than even chance they weren't bought to enjoy in these cases.

It is just a shame these cars will never be driven, having said that the first one on the list says that the owner picked it up in person in Modena and drove it back to Blighty

You have to remember the 8C was a limited edition and demand far exceeded the 500 cars built. Those prices are in line with the others for sale in Europe. And remember that sterling is worth a lot less now then when they bought the cars....

I saw that yesterday, and while I love Suds (restoring one at the moment, at the moment down to bare shell and just finished welding) the 5 door never floated my boat. That one is lovely though, but my Ti will be at least just as nice :-)

In fact I didn't realise they ever did one!

They didn't do a Ti 5 door afaik, this is just a normal 5 door done up (nicely) with Ti trim and bits, with 1700 conversion. but hey, think we are probably hijacking a thread here!
