8C Spider Confirmed

Hello guys ..

This is my first post here.

Good news ..

I got a call from my local Alfa dealer confirming my Order for the 8C spider, but they do not have the exact delivery date yet. So I though I will ask the specialized people and see if I get a response.

Any of you guys have any information?

Adding to that the Sincom chart is damn complicated.

UAE, Dubai to be more specific.

The reason i'm asking this question is that I have a couple of cars which i'm thinking of buying, but my dealer told me that it will be delivered by december 08, which I really doupt.

My current one is nice .. i love it .. but its just not as fun, it makes me feel old .. this might sound crazy but I enjoyed driving my Alfa GT more.

EDIT: in the option list they have " Driving carbon fiber kit" which part of the dashboard is that?

As SPP says we're expecting them in 2009, the 8c coupe's have only just started arriving in the UK over the last couple of month's

No idea about the Carbon Fibre Kit, I thought most of the dashboard was Carbon Fibre including the instrument cowls.

Certainly thought the centre piece was carbon fibre - cant remember about the top of the dash though.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. The sincom chart they sent was just a list with a code, no photos and no prices at all. There are lots of options which are not clear at ALL. I dont even know which wheels are which.

I guess we'll have to wait until Sept. for a reply from Italy.

Did they not send you a Brochure Pack, I seem to recall that prospective buyers for the 8c got a special "Red Book" with all the details in.

Well, the dealer (actually Alfa Romeom Japan) here was supposed to get back to me (and others who'd indicated interest in the 8C Spider) by mid May. It's now mid August …

Just keep bugging them, this is what i did. I had my assistant calling them every other day. Because they must get back to you, either yes or no.

My assistant doesnt do anything like that, she spends to much time sending thread notifications and happy birthday comments to the members!!

havent really chosen the options yet, im thinking of doing that when in italy later this year.

I'm leaning towards white with red roof, alot i must admit, considering alot of things like the dusty weather. But again the red is just too sexy to be ignored ..

he wheels is one of two, either the perforated wheels (the ones in the official launch photos) or the spoke wheels, regardless which one, it'll be dark shine ...

Hi Guys, I had the pleasure of seeing the 8C in the flesh in Dubai a while ago. The dash is aluminium/carbon masterpiece as you can see in the photo i took :-)
