Difference between 2.5V6 and 3.0V6?

I need to know if my engine is 2.5 or 3.0, how i will to know this?
But my type of engine is erased from block

am not certain.
but whenever i have seen 3l engine it has the 6c logo on intake like yours, whereas the 2.5 does not.

but i've seen 6c logo and ALFA ROMEO, also on 2.5 in europe, GTV6 haven't 6c

The plenum cover is different on the 3.0 it has the 6c embossed on front. The rocker covers are also different on the 3.0 as they are ribbed design.

Problem is that both these items fit both 2.5 and 3.0. Only sure fire way to know is look at the rear of the cylinder head infront of the bulkhead, I think the cc stamp is on the L/H cylinder head when looking from front of car.

You are looking for a 3.0 stamp, you will probably need a mirror to see this as very difficut to look at rear of engine when still in car.

Maybe the best way, will be to have to put out spargs plugs, and fill up engine cylinders with the technical gas if it fit max up to three litres, it is 3.0, if only 2.5litres it is 2.5....

it is also cast on the side of the block! (3.0)

My very early (1986) 75 2.5 Green Cloverleaf has ribbed cam covers with Alfa Romeo in block capitals & I know for certain they are original to the car as I have its history from new.
Later cars had it in Script. I THINK V6 GTV's had smooth cam covers but would not like to say for certain.
