Wanting to buy a 75... things to know, places to start?
Well I havn't been on the forum for a few month's, been VERY lazy, and busy with school stuff...
Anyway, after an enjoyable 2 years with my ol' 33, I would really like to move onto something a bit newer, bigger, more powerful, with a few more mod con's, and I've been thinking about a 75, RWD, powerful, a/c, p/s, full electrics, roomy, LSD (I think?), just to name a few features of this boxy beauty.
I really am after the 3.0L model, rather than the TS or smaller V6, don't know why... maybe the power?? =)
I'm after any advice anyone here could give me about the 75's, as I do not know alot about them... I'm not all that knowledgable about cars at all really, though I have tinkered with my lil 33 enough to know a bit.
So, what were these 3.0L 75's like? Any common problems that are worth a serious looking into? Anything that screams, 'BUY ME!!', or 'DONT BUY ME!!' ???
I have test-driven two 3.0L 75's in the past, and something I noticed with both was a very heavy clutch, took all my might to get the clutch pedal to the floor, compared with my 33's clutch, which is nice and light, incredibly easy to change gears, nevers slips, even if you dont ease off the clutch at all. Are all 75 clutchs so heavy? Or is this a tell-tale sign of something?
Well, I think thats all... Yep, just any comments about anything I should be aware of when looking to purchase a 3.0L 75 would be good, thanks.
PS. Are the 3.0L models rare everywhere, because here in Australia they seem to be few and far between... Anyone know of any on the market in Australia, pref. Victoria? southern75, anything mate? =)
Thanks for your time.
