Ok so the front jacking points have rusted through the floor. I can see from the inside of the car. I heard the jacking points are and easy fix. Is this true. What should i do.

No longer available I'm afraid. Options I'm aware of are:
Fabricate your own (They're a fairly simple)
Cut some good ones out of an old car
Just weld in some plate and carry a trolley jack

How the boot floor looking, particularly under the rear lights?

YES. Do you no off it.

Under the carpet in the drivers side foot well.

There is some more rust. Not bad not a huge amount should be ok to weld new parts in.

Right the car has its seats and carpets out. The next stage will be seeing iff work will let me have it there on a sunday then u can cut thye bad bits away with the plasma cutter. Then i can see how hard the jacking points will be to fabricate new ones.

The rear jacking points have not rusted through the floor so i hope that will be ok. Mabye a bit off welding still to do on them do build up the coroded parts.

Cheers Gavin

Re: examination of 75 begins. Is it a good car

It used to be a regular at Brookland Italian car thingy back in the day - had a funny private plate and those God-awful quad headlamps: glad you've returned it to normal Always looked cared for and obviously had a lot of cash spent on it - nice rare interior too.

Water in the footwell is probably coming from the perforation around the jacking point?

Check the mounting points for the watts linkages on your rust hunt, and up in the rear damper mounting points (Very hard to see the rot there)

Have a butchers at this site: www.colinmacdougall.com
Show's some of the usual suspect areas.

Best of luck - nice to see a good car being saved

Re: examination of 75 begins. Is it a good car

No idea about paint I'm afriad - made sure I bought a car with good paint in the first place as the mechanicals I can do, but paint I'd have to pay for and it's ££££££ for a good job including all the door shuts etc.
Try EMC racing - they aren't a professional paint shop but have a booth and an oven thingy I think - could give you a firm quote as they know 75's inside out.

I've seen a few things by MGS (I think) which look exceptionally good, but I think they are fairly expensive....

Is it the same 75 that was featured in Auto Italia years ago (when it had TSW blades fitted)? I seem to remember talking to the owner at National Alfa Day, it was sporting a CF scuttle cover, centre lock Auto Delta Wheels and conversion to single spark! Cream/Buscuit leather also amongst other things......very very nice car in it's day if it is!
