Sport road camshaft

I want to put a sport road camshaft in my engine, and was considering the Kent Cams AF1

On the old website for kent cams it was listed for the 155 2.0 8v TS also (which is the car I have), but now it's listed for GTV's

Anyone here have experience with these cams? What sort of gains am I looking at? Any downsides?

My car is used only on tracks, and to and from the track. I know C&B cams are popular for Alfa's but I really like these since I don't need to remove the variator, giving more torqyuue down below (useful on the ring)

I'm also sourcing a sports exhaust manifold atm, and the cat and middleboxes have been removed.

Happy to hear any comments!

Re: Sport road camshaft

I've found the manifold I want already, it's just a matter of saving some money now

I'd prefer to get a cam that would allow me to keep the variator, as it would not cost me so much torque at low rpm.

As far as I could find, only Piper and Kent offer such a cam.

Piper's cams have a lift duration of 280 and max lift of 9.53mm. gain would be about 12 BHP, as claimed.

Kent's cams have a duration of 282 and max lift 10.33mm. No claims made, was hoping for 15+...

Does anyone know anybody with either of these cams, who would share their opinions?
