Re: 75TS Intermittent Hard Start - Solution
I'll let you know, but so far mine is mint. Now consistently starting within 3-5 crank revolutions, even when hot or on cold start.
I think maybe there's a prob somewhere else on your car. Poss airflow meter (as needs open and send signal to turn on pumps when cranking).
Also the wire I've fixed has a jumper at the fuel pump relay to the main relay, which switches power to the EFI computer and the coils. However if the ignition is on and you have power to the coils then this won't be the problem.
Also there are two fuel pumps.
The scavange pump in the tank may not be working which will not necessarily stop the engine from starting but will delay fuel rail pressure and may cause starvation symptoms under some circumstances.
This pump is subjected to all the crap in the tank, so if your tank is full of junk then this could be the prob.
Access is through the boot through a rubber cap on TS.
Other threads have spoken of various fuel starvation problems. Some of these may be related to this scavange pump no longer working.
