Re: Alfetta Engine Problem?
Thanks for the help, I hadn’t considered manifold damage could be the culprit, my car is lowered, and seems to want to scrape itself on everything, unfortunately this includes the work driveway several times a day, I was going to get a mechanic to raise the nose up a little as even after reading posts and guides I still do not understand how the torsion bars work. but anyways the lowest point on the car is the exhaust manifold, and it is all dented in at the bottom, due to the extent of the damage I suspected that it would be cracked, but I can hardly see it properly, and it did not feel to be cracked, but are you saying if it is cracked this is likely to be the cause of the "ticking" noise? Because for a short temporary fix before I blow money on a new stock manifold could I not just fill the dents in the headers with that stuff used for repairs to exhausts, that putty stuff? Once again thanks for all the help.
