been living with my 75 as a daily driver for a few months now, and there are 3 things that put me off:
1 - the badly made interior (mostly door cards)
2 - the suspension is allover the place
3 - I want MORE power, and a proper pull and sound !
So, these are what I've got in hand:
1 - My 75 which used to be a 1.8 carb, then it got converted to a 2.0ltr carb (Giulietta engine).
2 - A 2.5ltr 24V V6 engine out of a 156, with electronic throttle. Also have its ECU and engine harness but not the key.
3 - I'm in the process of buying another 75 , TS this time, which is strictly for spares, and it already has a TS engine in it (or whatever is left of it).
So, I've been doing some research lately, and I've seen that most of the guys who did a 24V conversion, was a conversion from a 3.0ltr 12v instead of what I'm going for.
Given what I know from GTV6's, I know that the 2.5ltr V6 12V engine wont fit the Alfetta GTV 2.0, so I'm assuming that its the same story with the 75.
My questions are:
1 - Has anyone done a 2.5 or 3.0 ltr 24V conversion into a TS 75 or 1.8 ?
2 - Has anyone ever seen a step by step picture guide for this conversion that I can have a link to ?
3 - Given that I do this conversion, how will my throttle work and what do I do with the immobilizer since I havent got a key for the 24V engine's ECU
4 - Should I keep the 1.8ltr non LSD gearbox or should I use the Twinspark's gearbox with thicker propshaft and LSD ? (Have in mind that I want the car to be tail happy and powerslide)
Any info would be GREATLY appreciated
