75 Twin Spark coils - the white wire/plug

Anyone know what the white wire/plug is that comes off the coil on a 75 T Spark. Mine's never been connected. The coil arcs, so something is happening.

Have just picked up a spare coil off 75 Milano who has been very helpful. One isn't working correctly on my car. I just thought I'd ask the question as I'm in the process of replacing.

Seems a bit odd that there's nothing there to connect the spade connector plug on this white wire!?

There's probably a similar one connected to the other coil. Disconnect it and your rev counter won't work!
