Alot of advice/info needed

Hi all

Firstly let me say, i absolutely love the 75 and will no doubt love what i have planned for one/it

I have managed to get a One off Mk1 Escort, fully space framed with Alfa 75 chassis and running gear. (will get pics up later)

The first few things im going to question are

I have nothing apart from the steering rack, front/rear suspension setup. I want to get this car running and on the track.

Obviously the simplest answer would to be, buy a crash/damaged 75 and take all the parts. BUT...

What engine/prop shaft/diff setup also works with the alfa 75 rear setup?

the reason i say is because i feel the 75 should have 75 parts available for them (your cars) if i can use something different/make/model then i will

I believe this is the place to ask due to the car i have pretty much being a 75 with a different shape body lol

Thanks in advance

bit of an unusual one

I have seen 75s with Cosworth engines from a Sierra and BMW engines in

the biggest obstacle to big power will be the rubber do-nuts in the propshaft, too much torque and they let go, power however is a different matter, they will take 300bhp

A porsche 944 has a similar arrangement of the gearbox at the rear, an Alfa 6 has the 2.5 V6 and a conventonial gearbox but are highly sought after and most have long since rotted away

various supercharger kits are available from the US to increase the output or the 3.0 24v from the GTV or 166 can be fitted once adapted from FWD with relative ease.

it is slightly off-ish to recommend other sites, but hey we are all alfisti,, alfabb and gtv6 froum in particular may meet the needs of the specialist especially the gtv6 site where they are more hardcore.
