DIY engine mounts?

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to take TS engine mounts apart to either replace the rubber with something stiffer and / or do they have hollows inside so you could squirt in some PU to stiffen them up? Don't fancy pulling mine off just to check haha!

yeah.. that's the sort of way i was going, thought about casting my own custom durometer poly ones, it's just whether the ts mounts are 'deconstructable' without totally destroying them, or would it be a case of drilling some holes and injecting it in?

PS, know any good sources for the 3M stuff?

Got myself a couple of tubes of 40A PU for 3 quid a pop today! Thought if I do take them apart to have a gander I should at least have the stuff to do it if needs be

OK, so heres what I've found. The mounts seem to be solid blocks, so no chance of injecting any 'helper' polyurethane, but since they are such simple little beasts, it looks like the easiest method is going to be to smash the rubber to bits and cast a block of poly onto the hardware, not before getting hold of a new standard set before i balls it up Can't believe all of you seem to be happy with the soggy old mounts! Has nobody had a pop at this sort of improvement already? Particularly since I am sure it is the cause of my transaxle mounts expiring quickly, and that's a job i could happily avoid haha! Also seems crazy that I can only find 1 commercial outlet for 'performance' mounts and they have no details on durometer options or anything, since these mounts span loads of alfa's. Anyone with any knowledge on this please let me know! Cheers
