Starter problems with heavy rain
Hi there everyone,
Maybe some of you out there have had the same problem with their 75 3.0 litre & can help me with this one.
In most circumstances ie:- hot, cold or even drizzly weather the car is fine.
However, when there is torrential rain such as today going down to Goodwood after a while all the warning lights in the centre panel light up.
This is not so much a problem as I know you cannot believe them half the time anyway, but today on the way back we stopped at a pub & when I tried to start the car again the starter motor was dead. Turn the ignition key & nothing.
We bump started the car as the ignition & battery were OK & carried on home. During all this time it had been pouring with rain continuosly.
The last 15 minutes of the drive home it had stopped raining, I pulled into my drive & switched off.
Tried to start it again & the starter turned over as normal & fired up the engine. This has happened a couple of times now & only in torrential rain.
Has anyone else had similar problems ? Any tips on how I can prevent it.
