Ok so i went to go see Bruno today which is the guy who is doing the paint on the 75......started talking to him and he seems very proud of his work and prides himself on doing a good job and getting it right first time without cutting any corners full stop.
Started off telling him what i wanted him to do which wasnt a great deal of work to be honest but then i went on and on with all the small bits which need doing here and there and by the time i was done we forgot where we were.............
Basicly with all the work i wanted to do he pointed out that if im going to that extent then why not go the whole hog (granted this will cost more) but i see his logic......why go to such lengths just to skimp here and there?? The end plan now is, he will come and collect the car from me once its finished being stripped (totally) he will then shot blast the whole car exposing all the nasty stuff, repair where nessescary and re-spray in the original black its in now.
He is very very good at what he does, he seems to like the old fasioned methods over some of the new techniques, that said though he has just had a massive new building purpose built and its one hell of a place so he isnt doing it from a tin shed. He is working on my mates Skyline and im very impressed with what he does.
Yes it does always come down to one thing.....Money! I dont really know what its going to cost but ive got a figure in my head.....providing it doesnt go too far above that then ill be a happy bunny. Going to give him the car before i go to Afghanistan so he will have the car for a minimum of 7months, ive told him that he can have it as long as he needs so this should cut the cost big time.
I was thinking this was a bad idea but then i remember what Nige and Kev have both said recently......Its only money
what else would i spend it on
