Re: Alfa 75 Engine trouble
It is not the coolant circuit for sure, it is easy to check it, and i did. When the motor is running @ 80 degrees just press on the ... rubber thingies that go from the thermostat to the radiator, if bubbles come out, you got air(steam as well) in the system. Your first theory might really be the reason for the smoke though, as my computer is also acting crazy, when starting the car(for about 5 minutes) the alfa romeo control starts blinking every possible indicator then suddenly all turn off except the ones that actually indicate the trouble(like parking or door open). I was thinking of replacing the computer that is under the passenger's seat.. but will check the temperature indicator! This is really helpful.
Anyway, we are going to open and replace mechanical parts in the engine and the rubber parts, still having trouble finding the hydraulic belt tightener, it started squirting oil at high acceleration recently. So me and my bro still got a lot to do still got a lot to do, and we begin tomorrow, will take pics and post them.
