No Spark
Hi lads...
My 75 2.0TS died on me last week, I got it home and did the usual checks, it's not sparking from either of the distributors....It had been laying up for a while and was fine up until it was laying up, however I did notice recently that it was firing a bit rough below 2500rpm...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: No Spark
I welcome!!! If the spark is on all distributors(in Russia distributors call TRAMBLER), likely, a problem in the gauge of mass expense of air! Check up an inlet path on availability of a dirt, oil! If is, remove and clear, wash out! Check up color of a deposit on spark plugs, it should be brown and without traces of oil! Check up the gauge which is at a pulley of a cranked shaft (check up serviceability of its wires and integrity of their isolation). It too is responsible for work of the engine in whole. Write about resultats

Thanks and sorry! I confused the issue....I seem to have neglected to type the word "not" before "sparking".... anyway I have corrected it now (the text, not the problem)

Excuse me! I a hothead)))! As well as Romeo's my Alfa75! Means, if there is no spark it is necessary to look the lock of ignition! And also to check up serviceability of a primary circuit of ignition!! That is, to check up submission of a pressure on the coil of ignition! The colleague! At you is ICQ6??? Thanks for your help! I will check out it over the next few days to make sure I am getting + and - power at the coils and report back, is there a fuse or a relay that can cut power to the coils?

Re: No Spark
Has truly emphasized, the colleague =))) ! In the block of safety(fuses) locks should be the relay on 50 Amperes! It is responsible for inclusion and submission of a feed to brains and to a board of devices. In general on coils of ignition moves from the lock of ignition, well it is possible also, that it passes and through the block of safety locks, it is necessary for true to look manuals, there all is visible, as passes a current. Under schemes, I think, it goes directly to the coil of ignition. It is necessary to arm with a tester and to check. Before communication. I daily look through a forum, there will be interesting ideas, shall write necessarily.

Re: No Spark
I am prpobably very late in the discussion here - did you get this sorted Swidda?
If there's no spark, the it could be a few things - the ignition module, the crank sensor (Hall sensor) i.e the sensor in distributor that senses the position of the crank (replaces the points), the ignition coil itself or the computer (if the rest of the car is working, then it is unlikely to be the computer).
I am assuming that is was working for a while after it was laying up and then the ignition died?
I also reckon that you now have the car back on the road, given this was 2 months ago. If so, what was the problem?
