Propshaft help

The front prop bearing is stuck in my alfa 75 flywheel and suggestions on how best to free it. of have I just missed an obvoius step. i have undone the 3 flywheel bolts and the 3 donut bolts. the splined section slides freely as does the donut. prop is not moving??

I've never tried to remove the prop like that, so I'm not sure if you can. I was always under the impression that the splined section was simply to take up tolerances i.e. between all the couplings & body shell.
I've always removed from the rear i.e. drop the front of the de-dion, then centre bearing & then engine end.........might have been going around the houses so to speak if you can remove by the splines!

Thanks but prop is stuck on engine flywheel, engine came out of the car with the prop attached . first droped off the gearbox, then center mount then tried the prop to do-nut nuts, only then this did not work I un-done all the bolts I could find inside the engine rear mount.
As I said I have even removed the engine from the car to see if could see the problem.

Since it's out did you remove the rear bell housing/rear engine mount casting?

If everything is undone it should just slide out. Some large levers or prybars behind the donut should get it moving.

Ah, I see!.........Big hammer is your friend! Probably the outer of the bearing (if you can call them that) is stuck on the inner race of the flywheel - if you persuade it then it'll probably come to bits, leaving the outer race inside the flywheel........
