Need Help rebuilding a 1.8 Turbo engine - Searching for Forged Parts
Hi,
I'm going to rebuild my 1990 Alfa 75 Turbo's engine.
After engine rebuilding, i will use megasquirt as a ems system, garrett gt2876 as a turbo with 750 cc injectors. So i will expect at least 300-350 hp from the car.
But, as you know this is an old car, i cannot find competition parts.
For example when i rebuilt my subaru impreza's engine, i bought pistons from wiseco, connecting rods from eagle, sleeves , head gaskets and oil pump from cosworth and a twin plate clutch kit from exedy. This was very easy.
So... How can i find forged pistons, forged rods , strong sleeves and a special head gasket (like cometic or cosworth) and a twin plate or bronze clutch kit ?
If anybody can help me, i will be appreciated.
Thank you all.

Clutch is very simple for that sort of power but it needs to be a single plate. As for internals give aide a call at ahm If he cant source it he can get it made. AHMotorsports for everything Alfa

Sorry if going to ask a stupid question, how come you not going for a 2.0 liter unit and turboing that?

The 75 came with a 1.8turbo as standard where as the 2.0 would need converting!!

Re: Need Help rebuilding a 1.8 Turbo engine - Searching for Forged Parts
I understand that, the 75 turbo America which had both the v6 and the turbo. Yet i recall when i was about to tune up my 33 which had a 1.5 i would have spent alot of cash on the engine to get out slightly more bhp than a 1.7, so i figured that spending the same amount of cash on a 1.7 would get a better result. Unluckely i still have not found a 1.7 8v engine for it and had to garage the project for now.
On the same reasoning if you were not after the originality, wouldn't it be better to go for a 2.0 unit, utilising the same type of turbo and modifying the manifold to get more out of it once that you going to get such high performance parts? I'm asking only out of personal curiosity and not trying to be a smarta** cause i dont know whether my resoning is correct. in the sense whether originality would be better than more performance

Hi, i sent and email to info@ahmmotorsports.co.uk and asked them for the forged internals.
So for the clutch system, which brand do you offer? In turkey, it is impossible to find the original clutch set , so i changed the plates on the clutch plate , and left the pressure plate as old. I'm going to buy the clutch set from europe, so i need your help

75 Turbo's cylinder head is special, compression ratio is 7.5 , so i want to use a Turbo Born engine , not a engine born as N/A

Re: Need Help rebuilding a 1.8 Turbo engine - Searching for Forged Parts
Maybe Wiseco, CP or Arias can produce pistons for me , but the problem is, i only know the bore and stroke (80x88.5) , they need this information :
piston pin measurement, piston compression height, piston dome/dish volume, valve place depth. Anybody knows these values?
