Thought the 75 TS owners should know: Huge improvement in fuel economy after replacing three of the 4 relays (not the one with the diode yet) just to the rear of the battery. Also cleaned up the power cable contacts just to the rear of the relay bank (fragile plastic tho), and made sure the earths in the front corners of the engine bay were clean - not just the plugs but also between the plug bracket and the body.
So much better economy (maybe X2), more power, smoother acceleration & better idle. Havent tested max speed, but pretty sure there will be more there too. The engine revs accelerate so much quicker I'm a bit concerned I'm going to find the next weak link.
Now it never takes 3 goes to start, only once taken 2 - thats the problem I set out to fix.
But nothing impresses the non alfa passenger more than faster window glass
Seems the bosch relay numbers have been changed a few times since the car was made - 1990 Aussie twinspark. Dont pay A$55 (for NLA)when you can get the new equivalent for A$10. Still chasing the equivalent relay to the old one with the diode in it. Think then it will start first time every time.
