The stock airbox is very good though, so any performance gains are likely to be minimal.
It's noisier too, but that can be good
My two (Euro) cents worth.

TBH, it really come down to personal preference, the space gains are a bonus aswell...
I was always told that a well modified airbox was superior to cone filters due to the "turbulance correction ability" of the still air within the box...
there are also thermal incentives too... "for every 10oC temp rise in the engine bay, 2 % of power is lost when using open filters"

Re: IMSA bodykits
right, i worked out the original costs 3225 Euros, my replica would have been approx £1100 (less than half)
but as people want to call Alfas racing heritage "chav" and the lack of interest for perspective orders i have decided not to go ahead with this project...
it will be my car and my car alone.... (scoff at that i don't care anymore )

Re: IMSA bodykits
I like it on a race / track day car, but it's not for me and my 75 which I use around town too, plus it wouldn't fit in the garage.... Plus the Saxo and 306 boys have 'stolen' the bodykit thing and I wouldn't want to be associated with them.

Re: IMSA bodykits
My tiny input,
I think, if I had the money, I'd be in at the drop of a hat (for one). I think your idea here is, without reservation, brilliant. I would love if you were getting more support and am slightly surprised by some of our reaction.
Anyway,
Good luck with your project and make usall jealous :-)
Ed.

Do it Do it Do it, it looks awesome, s/s side exit exhaust massive 19 inch wheels and painted black or red , ignore the old farts , go with your dreams, there's only regret for not doing it later in life, and life's for living.

Re: IMSA bodykits
I used to be a partner in a GRP company @ Chippenham.
I run a vacuum forming company now, are there any smaller parts to be vacuum formed ?

Of those four pics you posted, only Julian's red 75 has an IMSA kit.
Bob's black 75 is a space-frame car and is considerably wider at the front, several inches wider than a normal IMSA.
Graham's 75 (the blue car and the white car) uses a custom made kit, not an IMSA kit.

Its been years since i did vac forming depending how big you can go mate
could you do "one offs" ? special for my car, such as airbox's and ram air intake pipes?
how well does clear come out? (as in headlamp lenses, i want to experiment with twin rounds fitted inside, as std 75 lamps are naff and nla)

Re: IMSA bodykits
Shame your not closer, I'd let you play with my proto-typer machine. It's got a 600x600 bed with a 400mm draw.
Quality of the product depends on the master. I know someone with the same machine making M3 wing mirrors.
