Next question to KingAlfa is - what were the terms that they took the car under? Were there any guarantees made on the condition it would be returned in? I know they've started taking liberties recently on that show (Redgrave's garden?) but surely they'll 'put it right' in the end ?!?
Sold it to top Gear for a Grand. They promised me they will not trash it no dropping skips on it or anything like that. They will check out the car make sure its safe and change what ever is necessary and then do a track day with it. I can then buy it back off them afterwards, and get to be on the show and show off the 75 in a good way. I hope.
I watch Top Gear and often hate every minute of it but carry on watching just for the occasional decent piece. This series though I'm letting my fingers do the talking and switching off. I've watched them denegrating the cars that normal people can afford or cherish once too often. The Alfas being wrecked will not entertain me.
Clarkson has always come across as very pro-Alfa. I'd be amazed and disappointed if he turned on them now for some cheap thrill in the name of 'entertainment'. I do hope this ends well and restores my faith in Top Gear & Jezza
Those TG guys crack me up but i also hope they don't trash the car. I remember thinking it was a waste when Clarkson ruined a Mitsubishi Starion and also that Renault Alpina. Mainly because they are both quite rare cars.
F"32king hell what have they done, that was a mint 75 the bbc promised me they would not do anything silly to it just track day it. still i guess its just needs a respray not as bad as crashing it . but I am pretty gutted none the less I was really hacked off at first when I saw the picture this morning but I'm calming down n a bit now.
