Re: 75 Front Suspension??!? HELP!!!
Ive lowered my V6 & its not really very difficult to do, you 1st ajck up the front end & support it on axle stands on the chassis legs, just to the rear of the wishbones, remove the front wheels, disconnect the front roll bar, unscrew the lower shock mounts, disconnect the lower ball joint from the upright, VERY CAREFULLY mark the lower wishbone relative to the torsion bar, unbolt the wishbone from the chassis leg, & tap it off the spline on the end of the bar, rotate it "upwards by 1 spline, loosely put it all together exept for the shock & the roll bar & let the car back down on its wheels, have you & a friend sit on the slam panel & bounce up & down a few times to let it settle & see what it looks like....The measuring point I used was the underside of the chassis leg to the garage floor, measure before & after, its amazing how much only 1 spline will lower the car, so go canny! I never managed to free the rear end of the bar from the outrigger & dont know anyone else who has managed to either! Its a slow job, especally if it dosent go low enough/goes too low 1st time, but otherwise straighforward!
