Car running hotter after bypassing the heater core...

Hi guys!

After bypassing the heater core in my 1993 Imola, I have noticed that when stuck in traffic the temp gauge shows a little more than it normally should.
It never passed the 92-93 degrees when stuck in traffic...but now it seems it runs a bit hotter around 95 even the fan is on. The radiator has been replaced and it's only few weeks in use. The mix of the coolant with antifreeze actually might not be in the right proportions...but still has some antifreeze inside.
Is it normal?

whilst stationary I usually have the heating fan on to aid in cooling.
Without the heater matrix you have less coolant and surface area from the heater matrix to aid in cooling, even when not using it.
You could replace the radiator thermo switch for one that comes on at a lower temp, to aid whilst stationary.
The thermostat might not be opening fully, probably not the case... if its ok whilst driving.
