Re: Alfasud Sprint Veloce Trofeo
The sprint speciale was the one that was tarted up after to shift them as the GCL sprint was introduced.
I used to own Trofeo number 120 1981 X reg. In 1987 i had two new front wings fitted, wheel arches, boot lid, and the lower door skins repaired. A full respray and new Trofeo stripes :-) then I got tempted by the liquorice allsort that is a Sprint Green Cloverleaf in Red and p/xd.
I saw in when i went back to the garage the guy who had bought it (one of their mechanics) had it resprayed black, fitted boy racer seats etc... shame :-(
My garage is full now otherwise i would be serious pestering you to see if he will sell it!
From memory the sprint speciale received the bumpers from a S3 sud Ti, a horrible rear spoiler, ugly grill extension, a Trofeo style stripe, tweed seats and painted alloys. I have seem them in Cream very popular colour for sprints & suds for some reason in the 80s and silver. This was all done in the UK to old 'chrome' bumper sprints that they hadn't sold.
I beleive the Trofeo was done by Alfa in Italy as there were available in all markets.
