thanks a bunch for the offer of that timing belt cover, its far better than mine as it actually has the 3 mounting points
once it is fitted i can get on with the rest of the engine work.
thanks bluesuit, it is a curious situation. i can remember having to fit a few rear belts around that time as it wasn't compulsery as you say, just people were starting to want them. odd that all the fitting points are in place other than for the inertia reel, they must have been just fitting fixed 3 point belts as you say, but why go to the trouble of having the slot as it wouldn't be needed on fixed belts?
would be interesting to see how the 33 set-up is, anyone?????
agree with sixnut also, as the shock absorber mount is a strong point and it would only be a fraction of the load being taken up.
no rush at the moment to finalise it so will wait and see what else turns up
just watching motogp qualifying then will get something done, i promise
