Looking good m8,
the frustration now is having it outside the front door and just thinking about it all the time and what you are going to do next, but its coming together nicely. I'm sure we will all make a date to meet up at one of the shows, then we can all say he's not what I expected
I mean you'd never know I'm 6.6" 28 stone and a cross dresser
yes, funny how you build up a mental picture of people then the reality is so much different
so you are the original "big girls blouse" then
the screen going in was much more significant than i first let on
since last year when i chopped up the pillars and lower screen panel i have been worried that the screen wouldn't fit, not helped by me breaking one on a trial fit
my worried were unfounded in the end as it fitted quite easily, lining up all round and the seal seating perfectly all round
i was unsure about what to do about sealing it, do i put it in clean & dry and just hope it seals? use some wind-screen sealer, but i notice it can crack in time?
i settled on fitting it (and the rear hatch screen, and eventually the side windows) with a good coating of wax-oyl. it's runny enough to squeeze into the gaps, has great rust preventing qualities (essential!) and shouldn't really dry out, hopefully
time will tell if it's been a good idea
the sunroof glass is now in and fits nice and snug. the shell is getting steadily glazed. was going to fit the rear side windows but the seals i had stored in the shed were from the sud originally and had been given a good coat of sealant, and red paint, so need a good clean up. i think i have a better pair in the loft from the banger racers, so will check up tomorrow night and use them. the door glass can maybe go in as well.
the prisma ends on ebay on friday night, so it is about time i found a replacement car otherwise it will be a long walk on monday morning
it's going to be a 145 cloverleaf, or a 156 ts. 50/50 at the moment which way to go.
i've never owned a 145, like the styling, hatch would be handy and i've heard good things about the handling and performance.
i have owned 2 156's and love them. they don't have the luggage carrying capacity though, but i prefer the interior
oh well, one way or another it will get sorted
