Good job with the blast tank Kev - is it on wheels - can I tow it here for a couple of months??
Won't be long now till you have the body back.
yep, very useful. can reccomend one to anyone
and if you want to use it, no problem
just give me a chance to get mine done first, the race is still on
although i am getting distracted with thoughts of changing the punto for a 145, but really should be still dedicating all my time & energy to the sud
spring is coming!!

What metal sheets have you used for the rust on yours ?
Galvanized ? how many mm's ?
i used ordinary sheets of mild steel, around 0.8mm thick for the bodywork and non-structural bits and around 1.2mm thick for the other bits like floor/jacking points/inner wing repairs. not sure of the technical "gauge" measurement
the thinner metal can be formed that bit easier, but you need a bit more strength in the structural parts.
didn't use galvanised as it is a pain having to grind the galv off the areas to be welded,
unless you have a welder/welding wire set up for galv. also using mild steel means all the common primers/stoneguard/paint etc products will adhere to it nicely, not always the case with galvanised.
