nice site mate, can see me spending a few quid there
will defo at least have a secret ignition cut-out switch though
if you go this route wire it shy of the distributor, that way the toerags hear the starter but get no spark, assume they have a dud , and hopefully give up, saved both my sprint and 33. Good luck.
yep, was thinking of doing it on the distributor side of things so should be ok
Ref getting soldering iron out -I've been strongly advised not to use solder on a car - I had always used the type of joints you could solder but apparantly the solder creates a 'stiff' joint which although electrically good is much more likely to break due to mechanical stress (flexcracking) over time. Basically the wire breaks right where the solder ends. Good crimps are better than this apparantly.
(you pays yor money....)
Anybody else heard this ?
never occured to me but i can see what you mean. i was going to crimp on terminals then lay some solder over the joint
should be ok, best of both worlds
i thought lancia had stopped making cars, been that long since iv seen one.
lancia pulled out of uk at around 1995 but have continued to make lhd cars like the dedra, delta, ypsilon, thesis, musa etc some nice cars have been made, and some lemons
very well recieved on the continent but mostly unheard of over here.
a few lancia owners club members have imported lhd cars most notably the delta hpe which was a very quick and different car, but being lhd only it wasn't on my shopping list as i just can't get on with it
a nice and very rare (only a handfull made) is a lancia hyena. based on the integrale running gear it was a lovely low coupe
