Metal cam belt covers - m6 bolts
Anyone had experience of those two m6 bolts that bolt the metal cam belt covers directly to the heads, either side of the cam shaft seal. Each cam pulley then sits over the top of them.
Here's my question....I can't find any torque settings for them in any book and as they bolt into the aluminium heads (either side of the cam shaft seal on each bank), I'm reluctant to over tighten them and risk stripping the thread.....but if not tight enough, isn't there a risk of them coming undone and worse falling out into the revolving cam pulleys and.....hmmm..big mess...
Is it routine to locktite these in? Or is there a safe torque setting to use?
As usual, appreciate your thoughts.
