IE conversion to carbs

Hi there,

I have a 1.7 8v IE block which I want to convert to carbs. Can anyone tell me what's involved in this? I already have the twin carb manifolds, and while all the holes line up, the head seems to have an extra "ear" on the top of the cylinder, which I think is to accomodate the injector. I've attached a picture to show what I mean. Not sure if there is something else I should be adding in between? Perhaps having some kind of conversion plate made up? Or if it will be fine as is with just the manifold and gasket. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

You'll need a plate between the intake ports and the carb. because the distance between
the intake ports and the carb. throats aren't match. This plate accommodates the coolant
temperature sensor as well. Factory plates are exist, but I don't know how difficult to source them.
Throttle linkage will be needed also between the carbs, and throttle balance also need to
be adjusted correctly between the two sides. The throttle cable is also need to be replaced
in order to match to the different linkage.
The fuel pressure also could be a problem: pressure delivered by the original fuel pump
will overfill the float chambers. So the pressure need to be reduced.
