Well, here the inspection stations are following the "redo from start" practice...
Regarding the AlfaControl unit the bottom-left connector (looking from the front)
contains the extra wire towards the dash warning light. This is a fully populated,
8pin connector with an orange wire at one end. Unplugging this connector
will prevent the unit from energizing the warning light, and removes the earth
connection from the unit. If you decide to try this method, I'd recommend to
unplug the bottom-right 6pin connector as well (with two unused pins),
to interrupt the remaining positive supply. (but you may unplug all four connectors
to simplify things)
With these connectors unplugged the dash warning light should still came on
upon performing level sensor test, but not when applying the brakes, since the
connection is now interrupted between the dash and the AlfaControl unit.
