Its all very confusing when dealing with the Clan Clover Plus so many variations over the Sud and 33 life with suspension parts.
The picture was from another owners; My Car had a suspension modification done using 33 parts with outboards Lowered the springs modified the subframe and hubs and made new suspension arms
Remember this is a MID ENGINED
But it turns out that the mod used on a racing Clover was very specific and needed a particular Sud Strut
which needed shaping at the bottom to avoid the strut fouling the arm on full droop and it turns out there was no way a 33 strut !!!!
So my NEW suspension is going back toward a more standard design
But not with all the rubber that made the back end a bit squirmy
I am going back to using the inboard disks (handbrake reasons)
To weld the adjustable hight platforms on the struts the easy option is very early Sud struts with the circlip on the bottom to take out the insert these are being fitted with SPAX inserts cos thats the only one I have heard is available
QUESTION seems to be a lot of play inside the tube wheh the insert is dropped in? any one else any experience.
But the arms are going to be closer to a Alfa 33 sourced through AHM have a look drool they have been beefed up for road use
I do now need to figure out some mounting locations
and the distance between the stearing arms for the lock off
Dont know is any one can help on 33 and sud dimensions between the arm locating bolts ?
