assembling new 1.7 16v engine with new 88mm oversized pistons, and noticed, right side pistons are a bit out of the block, piston 1 +0,1mm, piston 3 +0,2mm. (left side pistons are 0,0mm) piston 3 rod is from another engine, cause mine spun the bearings. so maybe the case is different rod lenght, if its lenght is a bit longer!
also i thought this is something with piston pin offset being different direction at left and right side of the block so at different offset angles i get different distance, but if crank is centered it should be not a case yea?
should i be worried? shave ~0,1-0,2mm out of the right side? or from the pistons?
calculated +0.2mm out of the deck rises compression about +0,25:1 (from 10:1 to 10,25:1)
did anyone had something similar?
