The Sprint on E bay has to be worth a look. It is expensive but relate its cost to the cost of extras on a new car you may have just purchased. It is about the price of the sat nav/comms pack on a 5 series BMW.
After just finishing refurbishing (is it ever finished?) my Sud
, the advice 'always buy the best you can afford' springs to mind.
You can easily spend a few hundred pounds and then thousands getting it right.
Once you start on a project only the best is good enough! And it costs!!
I enjoyed refurbing mine but it tooks hundreds of hours all of which stopped me worrying about work and was a great outlet and kept me sane. Without creating the time it would not be a labour of love.
Whatever Sud you buy it is now getting old and will need some love and attention to keep it on form, but that is part of the appeal.
My other cars are just machines and go to the main dealer for servicing and I pay to have them washed.
I would have a good look at the Sprint on e bay and if you purchase it make sure you give it the best re rustproofing you can afford.
If you buy it bring it to NAD I would love to see it. Good luck.
