My Sud QVs re-birth starts here.

After having this car for a year I have at last started to work on it.

First thing I'm doing is stripping the engine bay so as I can respray it in black, I was torn between keeping it red or changing to black but after seeing some pics of black suds my mind is made up.

I have to repair a small hole beside the battery tray and also some light corrosion where the pedal box fitted on the bulk head, this was caused by a leaky servo. Otherwise the bay is in great nick.

Will post progress pictures as I go.

Re: My Sud QVs re-birth starts here.

Thanks for posting - I will be very interested in this - as for anyone who doesn't know this was my old sud.

I am glad my impression of this car as having a very sound body is borne out by your investigations. I knew when buying it that it had the basics for making a really great sud - but with all my other classics to mind and a very busy job and other interests I just knew I would not have the time to do the work that it needed.

Best of luck with your build.
