Thanks for all the kind comments, its been a long struggle but nearly finished now. I have made a lot of modifications to the car which have caused a lot of difficulties but most of them are resolved now, I won't be restoring another 33 for a while!
Loving that crossover downpipe, thats a nice bit of kit. Bet it sounded awesome. And those brakes are something special! The whole car looks totally mint, I bet it drives great
No idea how it sounds, Laurence will have to fill you in on that one, I've only heard it running on 2 cylinders and haven't driven the car for about 7 years
The manifold is made by CSC in Italy (CSC Marmitte - Terminali
) and supposedly gives good power improvements over the standard manifold. This is the cat version which requires the fitment of the early type cat from 1990-1992 (never fitted to UK cars) which can be very hard to find.
What size and spec are the discs and calipers?
Brakes are from HiSpec Motorsport, they are their Monster 4 calipers with 300mm rotors and alloy bells Monster 4 Radial to Suit 300mm Rotor
They just fit inside 15" wheels. The brake master cylinder has been upgraded to work with the larger calipers and hopefully give less pedal travel, it is from an Alfa 75 Twinspark.
Looks really nice !
It seems a late production 33 (post '93) judging from the heating (A/C) box.
...and what coating was used on the pulleys (galvanized maybe)?
I've restored the original zinc coating on mine
Yes, the car was manufactured in 1993 but not registered until 1994. A/C has been retrofitted, we never got the factory fitted system in the UK, only a very poor system that was fitted by dealers before delivery as an option. That version had a crude switch under the bonnet to control the temperature and the standard heater control panel was modified with an extra switch. The factory system is much more sophisticated but was never designed for RHD so extensive modifications had to be made to get it to fit, it is likely that this is the only RHD car in the world with this system fitted.
The pulleys have been zinc plated using a home plating kit, I was quite pleased with the results, yours look very good too.
Your a/c pipe routings don't look correct - they should look like this:
