Tilt steering

Hello all, recently my steering column keeps falling down on it's own, is there a repair for the lever that is supposed to hold it? Also, I bought a new wheel on eBay and it didn't come with an install kit. Any help on where I can find one would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Wendell

Thumbs Up Re: Tilt steering

You'll need a new adjuster jobbie. Dealer or a second-hand one will do.

If the steering wheel is an aftermarket one then most wheel manufacturers make a boss kit for most cars. You'll need to get hold of the importer and see if they have a kit for the 33.

Re: Tilt steering

I think tightening the selflocking nut on the locking mechanism should do the trick

Re: Tilt steering

Dunno if the series 3 is anything like a Sprint but the nut/grip point used to spin round so it was horizontal rather than vertical. This would happen everytime the tilt mechnism was released. Just stuck some compressable padding behind it and now does not rotate.
