Re: Can my Alfasud use unleaded.
It's taken me a while to get around to this but...
(Taken from a Technical Briefing from Alfa GB on December 6th 1988.)
Alfa Romeo Unleaded Fuel (95 RON) Recommendations
These cars can run on either leaded or unleaded without adjustment:
Alfa Sprint 1.7
Alfa 33 (Mk II)1.5Ti from Sept 88 Production Engine Code 30588
Alfa 33 (MK II) 1.7 Green Cloverleaf including Sportwagon
Alfa 90 2.5
Alfa 75 2.5
Alfa 75 3.0 Without Cooland Temp sensor for ignition advance adjustment
These cars are 'Refer to Dealer' - typically retard ignition 3 degrees but some are different:
Sud 1.3 / 1.5
Sprint 1.3 / 1.5
Arna 1.2 / 1.3 / 1.5
Alfa 33 (Mk I)1.3 / 1.
Alfa 33 (Mk II)1.5Ti to Sept 88 Production Engine Code 30146 30506
Giulietta 1.6 / 1.8 / 2.0
Alfetta 1.6 / 1.8 / 2.0 Carb version
Alfa 75 1.8 / 2.0
Alfa 75 3.0 With Cooland Temp sensor for ignition advance adjustment
This car was 'Use Leaded Petrol only'
The only reason the Alfetta Motronic is down as use leaded only is because it cannot be retuned to the lower octane petrol. This was the time before Super Unleaded, remember. I guess that they are all leaded or unleaded, as long as the octane rating is right for the timing setup.
Sorry there is no info for any older models.
