I took my steering wheel off and put some washers behind it, to space it out. Then i messed up one of the threads on the bolts, but longer bolts would be better anyway. 2 washers worth of space is nice but i still have to blip the gas without braking and downshift stupidly early cruising around because i can't fit my knee under the wheel.
I really really like this wheel though, it's so easy to park & i wrapped mine with leather handlebar tape
It's kind of dodgy at the moment with only 2 bolts holding it on and it needs to be spaced out past the centre thing to hold the third nut finger tight on.
Will it be all good to hammer out the old bolts and replace them with longer ones?
I will sus some kind of home made boss to make the new setup a bit safer.
Not looking foward to the steering wheel flying off.
I could probably just try to repair the thread, and get it back to how it was before (no washers), or spend the money on a momo wheel, but i like this wheel.
Been daily driving to work in heavy summer traffic (too lazy to ride bike) very nice for the 30 minute trip : ). Thanks all for helping me sort cooling issues. My indian work mate i gave a ride home "Its like ferrari!"
