Kev, was it armco or tyre wall? I think as you said on the day it was tyres as opposed to metal barrier, don't suppose it really matters. (perhaps tyres in front of armco?)
so, 5 laps for £150, that's expensive £30 a lap - but probably not far off what I managed. I did about 25 laps, as I was conscious I had to drive home. A quick tally for the day was about £375 including food, petrol, B&B, lunch etc. So, about £15 a lap, not nearly as bad as you - but at least I do not have bodywork and suspension / tracking to fix.
Didn't realise you managed to get airborne at some point. At least I suppose it gave your passenger a bit of time to whip out his mobile phone and call his mum whilst it was quiet.
Would be interested to see / hear the extent of the damage at the front end once you have had a good chance to check it all over, all that toe out much be being caused by something. I guess also finding out a bit more about the suspension set up generally that is causing it to handle badly. I was wondering if there was insufficient drop on the back axle or the (meaty rear) springs were getting coil bound on compression. Almost sounds like I know what I am talking out
Anyway, let us all know about developments.....
