I have a problem with my glass round lenses on my Sprint's headlights.
A couple of years ago, I had to source out new lenses because they would start falling off the car, one by one and brake.
The glue that held the lens to the housing got dry over the years and let the glass lens loose.
I then bought a BISON sealant for glass surfaces which is transparrent and supposed to stay there forever.
A couple of nights ago, I was cleaning my front lights to put them back on my new grille on my restored Sprint.
I found that the sealant I used a couple of years ago was not dry, and I could wipe it off the rounds of the lenses with a cloth - it had become like wax !
I know there are special glues/sealants for these applications and I did some research, but I couldnt find anything that I can be sure it will do the job.
I cant afford to loose any more lenses.
One of them has already come off again - thankfully without breaking.
Apparently these glues should be able to withstand very high temperatures (due to the temp built up by the bulb) and be water and weather resistant.
The only company that I found that makes glues for these specific applications is LOCTITE, but I couldnt find the mentioned products anywhere or on ebay.
Anyone got any experience on this, please let me know.
