standard idle jets from a weber carburated 1712cc 8v sprint are #50 (uk common)
if i recall correctly, Deggy, your car is a 90/91 H reg yeah, so no Catalytic Converter and lambda to worry about, thank god!
if it had AHM tensioner pulleys, are you sure it didn't also have any kind of Vernier or Drilled Cam Pulleys?
do you have any pictures of the cam belt run?
Deggy, i'll check your timing if you want to pop over and test that, plus you can use my AFM for a test drive too, i do know that its completely stock, and has not been messed with for spring tension or any other mod, so will give you a good start point.
