and then possibly more importantly, there is going to be a few scratched heads about this one, and that is that there is no facility to mount the throttle linkage!
and finally, i'm of the understanding that a bit more height, (length) in the inlet roite is not a bad thing when carburating a 16v, proabably better atomisation over the longer distance i suspect, and to equal the height of the original throttle bodies will require some 24mm of spacers, but at least the accelerator pump linkage will be well clear!
it make me wonder whether we jumped a little too early into the price side of things, agaisnt the pro's ad cons of the alternatives.
the very first ones suggested on the ebay italy site, have the mount plates already machined up for the throttle linkages, which would have save us some messing about for sure, even though they are notably dearer if purchased individually, maybe we should have approached them for a group buy, and got some height measurements whilst we're at it?
i'm going to take mine over to BLS to get Tom's opinion on the height and the casting compared to his motormans, but not yet, he'll be busy prepping for Snetterton i'm sure!
