had a great day out this past friday, rob & me turned up at shrews place (no time for a fry up this time
) then onto donington in shrews van to meet up with ted for my first time actually seeing his car turn a wheel in anger
a busy track day with mostly bmw's, some driven very
but some very quick m3 csl's out on track.
pleased to say the sud more than held its' own, a credit to the excellent work put in by BLS and to teds' driving
he showed a clean pair of heels to the odd porsche carrera at times
and well done matey for taking carner curves flat at the end of the session
wish i'd seen that from trackside.

as a little refernce point to how quick a sud can be when set up nicely like teds' is he took his own subaru imprezza wrx out on track to post comparable lap times. quite interesting to see the difference in lap times between a 30+ year old alfa with front drive against a new rally replica with it's turbo and 4wd. ted was trying too in the imprezza, as the brakes and tyres would testify when he came in, as would shrew who was riding shotgun
big thanks for ted for the invite to finally get to hear his sud on the move having seen it many times throughout the build
