I used to have the standard 16v clutch disc, plate and bearing on my 33.
It was ok, but it would stress a lot under rough driving, especially with the 17" wheels.
I then bought an OMP racing 4 pad drop clutch and OMP plate.
That set was rubbish ! The stock one was better.
I would drop the clutch in first gear, but revving up and shifting to 2nd gear would just spin the clutch instead of the wheels !!!
After a couple of months I removed it all together, just to find out that it messed up my flywheel as well
Now that my engine is modified, I still use the standard clutch, although it did brake a bearing as soon as the engine was run in.
Changed it again to a stock one but it's spinning - because the engine is more powerful now.
I too heard the trick with the 215mm flywheel from a 145 and I made sure I got one.
However, I have a new clutch disc, plate and bearing now, which was custom made for Alan (the guy who put the Subaru engine in his 33).
I havent installed it yet as I'll be dropping the engine to fit the vernier cam pulleys, but it looks very strong stuff ! The bearing alone is twice the weight of the normal one !
