Time to just give up...
After 20 years of ownership and obsessive parts collecting I have decided that I need to move on to pastures new, although a small lottery win would see me return to Alfa Romeo in a 4C.
Anyway, I have an Alfa Sprint Veloce with Zender kit (front and rear bumpers are tatty) it has suffered corrosion down the floor edges and at the rear valence bottom as well as the scuttle under the battery and brake master cylinder, basically too much for me to tackle but structurally not too bad. The shock mounts and most other structural mounts are OK as far as I can see.
Mechanically this vehicle is remarkably good, new brakes all round (front slotted, vented 16V), copper pipes, polybushed, new fuel tank with extra coats of paint from new, runs (carbs need a clean), drives, stops.
Vehicle was taken off the road when the tank went porous (now replaced), the brand new fuel lines then also went porous (bad batch) and the brake lights disappeared mysteriously (sense of humour failure). Basically I needed a break from it for a while which turned into 7 years off.
I have spares: engines, doors, bonnet, hatch, gearboxes, rear axle, front arms, crossmembers, full cage, full wiring loom for a 33 16V, carbs, inlets, stalks, seating, carpets etc. I will no longer need any of these, obviously, and my father wants his space back.
So what do I do? I could put the whole lot on an auction site and let it go with no reserve or maybe one of you lot might like some/all of it?
Let me know what you think guys, is any of it worth anything?
