hi all again yesterday i though i would be ready for a test drive after 3 yrs work on it ..
i filled brake fluid and bled clutch .. worked ok ..
bled front calipers and rear one ... and i see the brake compensator leaking (quite a bit) .. of course been sat for some time. (had another Sud for spares and forgot to take THAT off
i did quite a few searches yesterday to try not to repeat some question but am still unsure so here goes :
took it apart and under inspection it seems the wide bore is perfect and the narrow bore is only half way very good .. the dust cover side is pitted .. it seems
to me that the bottom seal does not reach the pitted area but probably wishful thinking.
1. can i get new seals ? i.e. is it servicable ?
2. can i do without it and bypass it ? (i've read both for and against in past posts)
car will be mostly a show car used less than once a week .. i probably will never carry rear passengers let alone luggage .. but i do tend to 'enjoy' a hard drive
car is not lowered .. apart from the 14" speedlines suspension is factory.
any ideas please .. i so wanted to carry on today
