Well, as one door closes, another one opens they say eh?
or more to the point, money burns a hole in my pocket faster Standard Banger!
so as i cried inside drooping off the 75 V6 to Aaron this morning, i just about managed to console myself in the knowledge that my trailer wouldn't be empty for long,
in fact, it was empty for about an hour and a half!
so here it folks, my new 88 Sprint Green Cloverleaf!
don't be fooled by the trailer, all sorry for itself being winched on limpingly look,
she flew through her last mot, drives like a new'un to be honest, and the mileage of 97k, has took nothing off the edge of a fab 1712 carbed 8valve, she is a peach!!!!
she had enough tax to be useable straight away, so i stopped at a fule station on the way home, and bunged £30's worth of Super Unleaded in her tank whilst still starpped on, so that i could just get back, unhitch, unload, and GO GO GO!
i sold a set of drums earlier this morning, mainly by convincing the purchaser that for the best deal, pay me in cash, and i will deliver this evening!
i just wanted the excuse to have somewhere to drive too, and the plan went swimmingly.
unbelievably, i got a full 8 piece mapex drum kit, stool, and hardware all in a Sprint, and room for a burly Bassist left truth be known, really surprised me, and off i went into the dark and torrential rain, through the peaks and up to stockport.
150 mile round trip, on £30 of super juice, and never missed a beat! su'flippin'perb!
inanely grinning, broadly!
