i knew you'd be along at some point, and yes i love it very much already, and looking forward to some mods later, but for now, i'm just enjoying driving her, and getting some ideas together,
and thoroughly enjoyed having a tinker yesterday with Julian, using a timing strobe, and then checking the carbs over and looking at possible air intake improvments etc etc,
just nice to be able to do something for a change to be honest, so myself and Julian, i think the only Sprint owners in Nottingham, are planning to have some experimental fun soon
i have to drop in a thank you to Tom, BLS Lincoln, for being at the end of the phone with his un'ending knowldege and experience of these motors, and his advice on my carb settings, (weber idf 40's in my case) which sounds like i need to up the idle jet from the stock mean and mingey 50's to 55's, and once i perhaps sort a different method of cold air intake, i'll look at having a full carb set up, etc etc
anyone want to share their carb info?
Fruitbat, you're dead right on the rear arch wanting to extend round and down, very very much like the Trofeo rear apron does, so some squared off mudflaps had crossed my mind if i can integrate them nicely,
or has anyone got a broken or tatty trofeo rear set up for grabs?
