We are all ok guys, thanks for caring
Like Nikolas said, I was alone in the car.
Thing is, I didnt have it insured or registered as a classic, because the law changed for classic cars a couple of years ago.
You used to be able to register a car as a classic from 25 years of age on. Now they made it 30 years
My Sud been a 1984 model, I had to wait another 2 years to register it as a classic and insure it like that.
I'm hoping that Mario will sort this out for me, although its a very very long shot.
The car is repairable, but the cost of repair will be beyond its current estimated value.
The other thing that worries me, is that I wont be able to find parts for it !
Remember how long I was looking for a good rear hatch and how much it cost me to bring it to Cyprus and paint it.
I've also spent a lot of money on it so far.
Front bonnet was bought and painted recently,
Front left wing was bought second hand in great condition and its in storage
Front right wing was bought new about a month ago from Peter (alfasudparts)
Pair of second hand doors in excellent condition are also in storage along with a very good dashboard.
Recently bought the lower windshield repair kit for it from Germany.
Also, engine is rebuilt, gearbox is fantastic, rear suspension is new, front suspension is changed, rear bumper changed, front calipers rebuilt, etc etc ....
Was waiting to get my Sprint back from the paint shop, and as soon as I put that one back together, I was going to take my Sud ...
Oh well.... we'll see how it goes. I'll have a conclusive answer today .
